The Swedish automobile manufacturer Volvo has launched uplifts of S60 and XC60 ahead of the Diwali festive season to boost auto sales. The crossover XC60 is launched at a price of Rs. 40,50,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the sedan S60 costs 29,90,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The best sellers in the Indian market come with refreshed interiors, other than major changes in exterior design and technology. The most interesting upgrade includes the City Safety feature up to 50km/hr that prevents collisions by pre-charging the brakes and applying them in case the driver loses focus.
‘Common exterior changes include-new bonnet, premium wipers, LED daytime running lights, new grille, new aluminum wheels, new exhaust pipes and varied colors for Indian market’, says ZigWheels.
‘The interior changes include TFT crystal display-with three choices - Performance, ECO and Elegance; gear shift paddles, a newly designed steering wheel and new gear shift design. There is also a lot more chrome on the interior and new and more comfortable sports seats’, ZigWheels adds.
The base variants of Volvo S60 and XC60 are powered by a 1984cc engine. The offered mileage of 18-19kmpl for the new Volvo S60 and 14-15kmpl for XC60 is great. The two models will be available only in diesel.
